Neha Mehta is an Indian television actress, theatre artist, and comedienne who has gained popularity by playing the role of Anjali Taarak Mehta, a young, sophisticated, and modern woman who is Taarak’s wife and a dietitian by profession, in one of India’s longest-running SAB TV comedy shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Often abbreviated as TMKOC). Apart from that, she has also been a part of many other on-screen projects which include the likes of Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Wah! Wah! She grew up in the cities of Vadodara and Ahmedabad.

Her family has deep roots in Gujarati literature.

From 2002 to 2003, Neha Mehta appeared in the lead role of Saroj Tilak Chopra in the Hindi language soap opera, Bhabhi.

She started playing the role of Heer Yash Diwan, fake Gungun, in the television drama series, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, in 2004.

She appeared as Prerna’s friend in the 2008 Bollywood social film, EMI, whose lead cast comprised of Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Urmila Matondkar, and Malaika Arora.

Neha Mehta started co-starring alongside Dilip Joshi, Disha Vakani, Munmun Dutta, Shailesh Lodha, Mandar Chandwadkar, Gurucharan Singh, and Shyam Pathak in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2008 and left the show after 12 years in 2020.
